Well, not much is going on around here. We have been staying at the Stringham's for a week babysitting while Paul and Kim went to Hawaii. We're back home now. I really should be doing laundry, but Hannah just fell asleep in my lap and I don't feel like moving her, so instead I copied this post idea from Michele. About Hannah:
Favorite Foods: Well the only thing she’s ever had is breast milk, so probably that.
Favorite Toys: Large plastic rings! She has rings hanging from her car seat and she also has a play gym with rings hanging from it. Rings are easy for her to grab onto and she likes to watch them swing back and forth after she bats at them.
Biggest Fear: She is starting to be afraid of certain people. I can’t figure out why she is afraid of some and not others. If one of the few people she is afraid of is holding her, she searches the room for me, catches my eye and then starts crying.
Favorite Song: Not sure yet, but she loves to sing along whenever I am singing…especially in church!
Favorite Non-Toy: Her hands…she can almost fit her whole fist in her mouth and she does this often.
Things She Mimics: She mimics the things Jack and I do with our mouths ie. making kissing noises, making wet razzing sounds…she even mimics eating motions when we are eating.
Favorite Games: She loves peek-a-boo and loves when I sing songs that have hand motions.
Soothers: Her hands, the binki and mommy’s shirt (she likes to rub my shirt when she is falling asleep)
Favorite Place: Outside for sure. She can be crying and I will take her outside and she will stop immediately. She loves watching birds and she LOVES riding in her stroller.
Mischievous things that he does: Nothing yet…unless farting really loud during Sunday School counts.
Least Favorite things: Having her eyes covered. She hates when the onesie gets stuck going over her head or if her headband slips down over her eyes. She also hates having the sun in her eyes when we are driving (but who doesn’t?)
Favorite People: For sure her mom and dad. Lately she has started looking for me when I walk away from her or if someone else is holding her in a crowded room. I hope she doesn't become too much of a momma's girl, but it does melt my heart to see her look for me.
Proudest Moments: She gets a very proud look on her face when she pulls to standing.
Hair Color: Brown.
Best Features: Beautiful blue eyes and LONG curly eyelashes and olive skin. I especially love her fat cheeks and her little chin.
Sleep Schedule: 7 – 8 hour nights, a 30 minute morning nap, an hour long afternoon nap and a 2-3 hour late afternoon nap.
How She recharges herself: Hannah will go crazy talking and jabbering and kicking her legs for awhile, but then she needs to suck her binki for a few minutes to calm down before she starts playing again.
