107

107...the number that hours that Jack has spent in the hospital this week with not a single day off! But I have to say I'm proud of him. Throughout this very difficult rotation, he has been stressed and sleep deprived beyond imagination. But he has never been grumpy. He has tried his best to spend his few spare hours with the kids and I. And we really appreciate it. We love you Jack!

I have to say I am surprised at how fast this rotation went by.  It has been interesting living life in a four day cycle (on call, post call, short call, golden), but it has also been a nice change of pace.  This rotation will be over next week and he'll move onto OB/GYN where the hours are better, the call nights are fewer, the work is probably more exciting, and they feed you your meals!

  1. Yea for Jack! One down! And can you believe how many hours they put in!! However, it will probably change by next year...they are trying to pass regulations right now that would limit them to 16 hour stretches. We'll see if it happens or not, but it would be nice if it means more sleep for them!!
