This year we had Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family at my mom's house. As usual, it was delish. The next morning we drove to Las Vegas with my family for the sole purpose of seeing comedian Jim Gaffigan perform. He is hilarious (and clean too)! We also enjoyed the warm weather and were even able to go swimming (ok, only Hannah dared to get in the pool, but it was still nice) and the kids liked/were overwhelmed with walking "The Strip."
The trip was fun, but on the way home Jack crashed our car on the freeway. It was a 3 car pile up and we were the last car, so technically it was Jack's fault. I hate that area of Provo on the freeway that is all torn up. If you try to leave any space between you and the car in front of you another car will just cut right in. It is really scary. We were going 65 mph when the car in front of us slammed on its breaks and Jack just couldn't stop fast enough to avoid hitting him (and there is no shoulder or anywhere to go). Luckily no one was hurt, besides Hannah biting her toungue. The middle car in the accident was pretty well smashed up. The kids were extremely upset, especially Hannah who was angry at Jack for a few days after that!
