When we moved here, we bought a toddler bed from an out-going resident and put Jackson in it right away rather than setting up the crib. He is also sharing a room with Hannah for the first time. I was worried about both of those transitions, but he has done so well! He loves his big boy bed. He has never tried to get out when he wasn't supposed to. And he loves sharing with Hannah and doesn't even get woken up when she gets up earlier than him (sometimes much earlier).
The funny/scary thing is that when he does get up in the morning he doesn't come find me like Hannah does, he just wanders the house on his own. This morning he must have gotten up before Hannah and I. I don't know how long he was up, but I found him in the kitchen standing on a stool pouring himself a bowl of cereal.
Picture to come.
Edit: after one week of sleeping great in there he is starting to rebel, we keep finding him asleep on the floor by the door and he is fighting his naps a little bit. Hopefully he'll get back on track soon!
Edit Pt. 2: Things are really bad now. Even though we consistently put him back to bed every time he gets out it is taking us 90 minutes to get him to bed at night! And since he shares a room with Hannah she has a meltdown during the entire process because she is so tired. Considering putting him back in the crib in his own room until the baby needs the crib. Any advice appreciated!
