Our community puts on a lot of fun events. Right before Christmas they had a holiday party including outdoor ice skating and a few carnival type rides. The kids were so excited! I wondered how they would put a skating rink the park when it was still 80 degrees outside. They actually used a type of plastic and coat it with some slippery stuff. Its actually not like real ice skating at all, but whatever. The kids loved it. A couple of weeks later we went with our friends, the Simmons, to a real ice skating rink so they kids could try skating for real. Lets just say it was way too hard for them and all the adults left with very sore backs from trying to help them around the rink. Also it was FREEZING in there, it took me hours to warm up after it was over.
