Jackson's Blessing

Yesterday, Jackson was given a name and a beautiful blessing by his father. Afterward, we had brunch at my parents' house. I am grateful to my mom and mother-in-law who made so much food! And especially to my mom who let us use her home. I look forward to the day that we can fit that many people into our house, but for now we must continue to mooch off of our parents.

I couldn't find a baby boy blessing outfit that I liked, so we dressed Jackson in some manly khakis and a sweater vest. He looked very handsome. As if on cue, he started smiling and cooing yesterday too! I love it. He is such a good and calm baby. He loves to be held and cuddled. He is very tolerant of his big sister who smothers him with hugs and kisses. I feel so blessed to have this special spirit in my family. It was a great day for me to be able to celebrate Jackson with so many family and friends who came to support us. I feel lucky to have so many loving people in my life.

  2. It's fun to see pictures of your family and the blessing day. Aunt Ashlyn looks so proud! And, your mother is beautiful--you look so much like her. Hannah has to be the cutest, most hilarious little girl I know-I love the post about her. How did you come to teach her about skunks? And, I want your green smoothie recipe. Looks yummy!
