October is my favorite month, and it flew by way too fast this year. The Halloween festivities were fun and this year Hannah was really into it. The kids had plenty of opportunities to celebrate, eat candy and wear their costumes between ward, neighborhood, friend and family parties.
After carving pumpkins, Hannah made up this song all by herself. It goes to the tune of "Once There Was a Snowman":
Once there was a pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin;
Once there was a pumpkin orange and round;
And I got the guts out, guts out, guts out;
And I got the guts out, guts, guts, guts.
We thought that was pretty smart.

Jack carved this pumpkin to look like Jackson, can you tell? |
Hannah just had to be a mermaid (or "merman," as she pronounces it despite many attempts to correct her) this year. For the past several months she has been putting both legs into the same pant leg and pretending she has a tail while singing Ariel's song from
The Little Mermaid. She was beyond delighted to have a "real" tail to wear. And to complete her costume, Jackson dressed as a crab. Jackson didn't love his hat, but enjoyed chewing on his "pinchers."
Cutest teeny merman and crab ever!
ReplyDeleteThey are such sweet little kiddos! And just FYI- I should not have won the chili cookoff! My gosh! We were the ones putting the gifts together. I asked the men who judged who was second place and he said brother lopez, and that he can win it. I felt SOO bad, that we ended up giving our basket away for two trunk or treat prizes. I am so sorry! Will you be the judge next time?! ahah I heard it was a "just for Jack chili" and I thought that was so funny. Hope you guys had fun at the party though!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute little buggers! I wish I would have seen them in person! xoxo
