First day of nursery! |
His favorite foods are: scrambled eggs, Popsicles, string cheese, yogurt raisins, yogurt, and oatmeal. He insists on feeding himself and it is a very messy process! Whoever thought carpet in the kitchen was a good idea must not have had a toddler!
Jackson loves balls. Whenever he sees a basketball net he begs to "shoot it." He is always carrying around some type of ball and usually takes one of them with him to bed at night.
He also loves blankets and stuffed animals. He carries his pillow pet around the house even though it is bigger than him. You can always cheer him up by cuddling him with a blanket and stuffed animal.
He also loves dogs. We have to read his book about dogs every night before bed. He gets so excited whenever we see a dog. He loves to go to grandma's and mimi's to play with their dogs. It almost makes me wish we could get a pet dog.
He says lots of words, I can't even keep track! Recent things he says are, "uh huh" (when he wants to say yes), "where are you?!", "what?!", "get out."
This guy is SO independent and content. Normally he can play by himself for hours. It is rare for him to be grumpy (unless he doesn't get enough sleep). He just loves to explore and play with toys.
Jackson is always climbing, running, jumping, playing...which means he falls down a lot. But even when he gets hurt he doesn't usually cry (or if he does it only lasts for a second). Usually he just gets right back up, rubs the sore spot and keeps on playing.
Jackson LOVES his sister Hannah. He likes to immitate her and do whatever she is doing. He even wants to wear what she wears, which means we often find him with a headband or a crown on his head and a necklace around his neck. They fight over things too, and he knows exactly how to push her buttons by doing things like turning off the TV when she is watching it or taking one of her favorite toys and then running away with it as fast as he can.
He responds to being called, "Jack Jack" or "Mister." He refers to himself as "Jack Jack" when he sees his reflection in the mirror or a picture of himself.
I just love this little guy, he makes my heart full.
This is your mommy, not Jeffrey! I am lame, I know! That little Jack Jack is AMAZING!! Such a cute post!! I love him too much!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is growing up and so darling! Henry and Jackson could be good friends if we still lived close. We have that same puppy pillow and drags that EVERYWHERE! The DOG book-- one of Henry's fav's. And the word puppy makes him light up and especially seeing them up close. Silly, CUTE boys!
ReplyDeleteAwww! So cute!!! I can't believe how big he is already. We sure miss you guys. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big he is; I love his hair! He is such a sweet boy. And I can't believe Hannah either. In those state fair pictures I didn't even recognize her; she is so cute! We miss you guys :)
ReplyDeleteI love that nursery picture of him. He is such a poser for the camera.
