An Interview with Hannah: 4 Years Old

Me: What are you wearing?

Hannah: A mermaid costume

M: Do you like mermaids?

H: yes

M: So tell me your name

H: Hannah

M: What is your middle name?

H: Noel Stringham

M: And how old are you?

H: Four. Am I four?

M: When is your birthday?

H: Christmas Eve

M: Do you like having your birthday on Christmas Eve?

H: Ya

M: Do you feel special on your birthday?

H: Ya

M: Hannah what is your favorite thing to play?

H: I like playing with my little brother with teapots. Have a tea party wity my friends and mister.

M: Who is your best friend?

H: My best friend? Lauren.

M: Where does Lauren live?

H: Mexic....Idaho

M: What is your favorite movie?

H: Little mermaid

M: Why do you like little mermaid?

H: Because Ariel is my favorite princess

M: Do you like princesses?

H: Ya

M: What is your favoirte food?

H: Apples with some string cheese.

M: What is your favorite place to go on vacation?

H: Disneyland

M: What do you do at Disneyland?

H: See princesses and go on the rides

M: What is your favorite color?

H: Pink and yellow and red and purple

M: What is your favorite thing to wear?

H: My special dress for my birthday

M: Is it a dress up dress?

H: No, it is pink with cute flowers on it and two bows and bows on the bottom

M: What do you want to be when you grow up?

H: I want to be a doctor.

M: What is your favorite kind of animal?

H: An elephant

M: What is your favorite thing to do with mommy?

H: Go somewhere special.

M: Like where?

H: Like, I don't know. I want to tell you a question. Stop telling me a question. I like goign on vacation with you somewhere special. Like on my brithday I like going to somewhere like Mimi's and open presents.

M: What's your favorite thing to do with daddy?>

H: I like going to do some fun things like go to Hawaii.

M: What's your favorite thing to do with Mister?

H: I like playing toys with him in my room.

M: What toys do you play with him?

H: I play with my dollhouse with mister.

M: Do you share with him?

H: Ya

M: Does he share with you?

H: ya

M: What do you like to do with your friend?

H: I like playing dress ups

M: What are your friends names?

H: Lauren, Emily, Cam and Aaron

M: What did you get for your birthday?

H: A pony book and colors and more colors and stickers.

M: What color are your eyes?

H: Blue

M: What color is your hair?

H: Yellow. But a little brown. Is it a little brown?

M: What are you good at?

H: Sharing my toys.

M: Are you a good girl?

H: Yes

She was so excited to see snow she ran out in her nightgown.

This girl cracks me up, I love her so much! She is so full of life and personality. She is constantly asking, "what can we do next that's fun" and is always ready for an adventure. She loves playing with her friends more than anything else. She loves her little brother and is so good to him (most of the time) and he adores her for it. She prefers to dress herself but is very careful about matching (see the top photo) and comfort (she is very specific about clothing and it can't have any part that "bothers" her or she won't wear it). She worries about lots of things like losing her things and what is going to happen in the future (lately she is concerned about having to change her name when she gets married). She is FULL of questions. I read in Jack's pediatrics book the other day that four-year-olds ask more questions than at any other age, and it was right! She asks a million questions about everything. She talks non-stop from the minute she wakes up until she goes to bed at night. She loves watching movies and acting them out, and hates that I limit how many she can watch. More than anything she loves going to do "something fun" (she HATES staying home) like going to visit Mimi or Grandma, go to the children's museum, play with a friend, etc. She is very good at pretending and acting but she hates playing by herself. She definitely keeps us on our toes. We love our Hannah Noel!
