Jack had to take part of his board exams in LA last week, so we decided to go with him and have a little family vacation. While we were there, Paul and Kim came to pick up Steven from his mission in Long Beach, so we also got to see him and he got to meet Jackson for the first time!
We had an awesome day at Disneyland. Paul, Kim and Steve came with in an attempt to introduce Steven back into the "real world". It was 80 degrees and sunny and there were NO lines. We rode the new Ariel ride 11 times that day! Hannah is tall enough to go on all of the rides at Disneyland, but she did not want to. We tried to take her on Splash Mountain but when she saw that log falling over the waterfall she absolutely freaked out. So we told her we'd just go on a "train ride" (aka Big Thunder Mountain). When we got of she glared at us and said, "I hate that ride!" After that she didn't trust us when we tried to take her on any other rides. We did spend a lot of time doing her favorite thing though, which was stalking the princesses. Jackson really enjoyed the rides, but as soon as we got off he'd start screaming "AGAIN PLEASE!" He did not understand that we had to get off and get back in line and wait for five minutes. I can't imagine how much he would have hated it if there had been long lines!

Paul and Kim and Steve flew home and we went to the beach. Once again the weather was amazing. Hannah is bothered by many things, but one thing that does not bother her is being cold! She got all the way into the freeeezing ocean and loved it.
On Friday we went back to Disneyland again. One of Jack's mission friends works there and was able to let us in for free! The weather was amazing again and there were no lines. Jack came down with a bad cold and Jackson was really tired so they went back to the hotel to nap for a few hours. Hannah and I spend the day together at the park. We had so much fun together.

It was so nice to have the stress of residency interviews and step 2 boards behind us and just have fun together. What a great week!
what a fun trip, I am seriously impressed with how many princesses you were able to track down! I was laughing when I read about her not wanting to go on any rides, Halle was the same way at Lagoon- all she wanted to do was sit on a bench and eat popsicles... it will be a while before we attempt disneyland! It looks like a blast, glad you guys had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! I am jealous you guys have a plan and get to "live it up" now! I love your family pictures. I can't believe Jackson is that big and we still haven't seen him and I love that one of Hannah with her skirt flaring out. So cute!
