She loves her siblings. She cries when they leave for school and says, "Where Hannah go? Where Jacksee go?" She's always so excited to pick them up and gives them hugs. She runs into Hannah's classroom and yells, "Hi Hannah!" when class is over and all the kids in the room just adore her.
She LOVES babies. She talks to them in a baby voice and is so gentle with them. She also loves baby dolls and can usually be found "taking care" of one. Her biggest concern is to make sure all babies and dolls have a pacifier in their mouths.
She is picky about food. Her favorites are yogurt, apples, cheese, spaghetti, cereal and hot tamales.
She can't stand to get her clothes dirty or wet and can often be found walking around in just a diaper because she immediately undresses if she gets anything wet on her.
She loves to swim and loves the beach. She has no fear of the water and even lets us dunk her under.
She repeats whatever we say and loves to tell me stories about things that have happened during the day, but in the most dramatic fashion. She competes with the kids in the car and tries to talk louder than them. She yells, "Mommy, Mommy, MOMMY!" in an increasingly louder voice until she gets the attention she desires.
She is burned out on all the car riding she has to do during the day. She always asks, "Please go back my home?" She enjoys being at home and watching Curious George or playing with her siblings. She loves to color and paint.
She's usually involved in some kind of chase/wresting game with Jackson. She purposefully does things to make him mad in order to get him to chase her. One day after school she walked up to him and hit him over the head with a broom just to see his reaction. The way they interact is how I imagine two brothers would behave. They really love playing together civilly too. They can often be found playing "food" or "babies" or "cars". Jackson is mean to her sometimes, but can always be caught sticking up for her if someone else tries to be mean to her!
She loves me to do her nails and do her hair. She also always tries to put on my makeup. At the same time she hates wearing dresses and prefers to mostly wear denim bermuda shorts and a t shirt. Her favorite colors are blue and orange.
She will always let you know if she doesn't like something. She is very strong willed and walks around with a lot of pride and confidence. People always stop and laugh at the way she walks with such authority, always leading the way.
She is also very loving and loves to give hugs, kisses and to cuddle. She hides her face when strangers greet her, but will almost always yell back "bye!" and we walk away. She is very brave and will usually try things that her brother and sister are too afraid to do.
We sure love our baby Jane who almost isn't a baby anymore. On her birthday we decided to drive up to Orlando for the weekend to see some friends from medical school who were rotating there. We stayed at a fun hotel with a waterslide and Jane did the waterslide over and over (even though Jackson and Hannah were terrified of it). Before we left we made birthday pancakes for breakfast. We had also decorated her room with streamers, balloons and candy the night before so she would wake up to a fun surprise (she told me she did not like the streamers). And she opened her presents, all of which she told us that she hated except for the doll and cradle that Mimi sent her and the little suitcase that Grandma sent.
