Miami has one of the top ranked zoos in the country. It's huge! And the animals are not in cages but appear to be roaming about. Only downside: it's so hot and humid. We got a really cool Groupon that let us go to the zoo, feed the giraffes, feed the parrots, ride the monorail, and get a souvenir cup with drink for less than the price of regular admission, so we had to brave the heat and go check it out. The kids liked feeding the giraffes, even though they were a little nervous. They LOVED feeding the birds. Birds kept landing on Jack's neck and picking at the hairs on his neck. Jackson is fascinated with birds so this was pretty much the best day of his life. It was super hot and humid, as expected, and we ended up staying much longer than we had planned and then at the end it started pouring and we got completely soaked, which was probably Jane's favorite part of the day.
