Jackson turned one year old! Jack was on call on his birthday and didn't get to see him at all. The kids and I spent most of the day packing up our apartment. Hannah tried to be especially nice to Jackson all day. She even decided to give him a present: one of her princesses. That was a huge deal for her to do that and it brought tears to my eyes to watch her be so sweet to him all day.

That night we celebrated a double birthday at my parents' house. My mom's birthday is on the 18th and Jackson's is on the 19th. We ate Cafe Rio and had chocolate cake. Jackson got so many nice presents and loved them all. He especially liked eating chocolate cake.

His favorite part of opening presents = this confetti. |
On Sunday we were going to celebrate again with Jack's family since Jack would be home. But sadly Jackson came down with the stomach flu and was miserable.
We stayed home and lounged around all day. Since I'd already made a cake we sang to him anyway. He ate one bite of cake and then spent the rest of the night laying around on his new pillow pet. Poor little guy.

A giant cupcake cake. |

Doesn't he look excited about that cake? |

He wanted to lay around all day, which is so uncharacteristic of him. Jack wore a mask because he picked up a nasty virus from the hospital. |
Happy birthday Jackson, we love you so much!
You should consider putting chocolate cake on his face for every photo...it really makes his eyes pop!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!! He looks just like his mommy. :) I can see why he loved that cake--I want some too! What a good sport he was to put up with the flu during his birthday.
