A spoon full of sugar

We saw Hannah's urologist this week who gave us some meds to help treat the problems she's been having associated with vesicoureteral reflux. One of the medications tastes awful.  Ok, I haven't tasted it, but it smells awful and even the pharmasist wrinkled his nose and said, "I'm sorry," as he handed it to me.  I worried about how I was going to force this down her throat twice a day for one, two, maybe three years.  Then we decided to take a hint from Mary Poppins (why was she giving those kids medicine anyway?).  When I draw up Hannah's medication, I also draw up an equal amout of grape flavored snow cone syrup.  It must completely mask the awful taste of the medicine becuase Hannah loves it and looks forward to her teasoon full of sweetness every morning and night.

This trick will work with most medicines, so give it a try!
