(Pictures Coming)
Jackson turned one today! Where did the last year go? I have to say I love this age though, I wish I could freeze him just how he is right now. He is so sweet and fun. Here are some things I want to remember about Jackson as a one-year-old (because I know that at this rate tomorrow I will wake up and he'll be leaving on his mission.)
Stats:
Height: 31" (95 %)
Weight: 21 lbs (21%)
Head: 19" (91 %)
He is saying more words, some words he says include: Mama, Dada, Ball, Bath, Dog, Woof, Nana (Hannah), Cheese, Cookie, Eeek (Drink), Mah Mah (More, more), Uh oh!, Hi, Bones, Bye Bye
He loves to imitate Hannah. If she screams, he screams. If she cries, he pretends to cry. If she laughs, he laughs. He really loves her and follows her around. She gets annoyed when he gets into her stuff, but mostly she is sweet to him. He recently started calling her, "Nana" and yells her name when he wakes up from his nap or when she leaves the room without him.
He loves pillows and blankets. Whenever he sees one he has to lay on it. The other day he saw a lady outside on the playground wrapped in a blanket and so he walked over to her and cuddled up to her blanket. He got a pillow pet for his birthday and he is always laying on it (or wrestling with it).
He still has 8 teeth in the front but has started getting his molars too.
He loves to go play outside. He climbs up to the slide by himself and goes down head-first. He also loves wagon rides. The neighbor kids think he is so funny and they always try to pick him up and help him do things.
He loves when people come over, especially Hannah's friends. As long as mommy is within sight, he is happy to be with anyone. But if I leave him or he gets really sad and shy.
He is independent and doesn't demand much attention. I have to constantly watch him though, he gets into everything and loves to break things and make messes.
He is finally sleeping through the night and I love it! He usually takes two naps too. He still uses his binky, but mostly just when he is sleeping. He also still nurses. I have tried switching him to whole milk, but he spits up after drinking it so I think I will have to wait awhile longer to introduce it.
He walks everywhere now and looks looks like Frankenstein when he does.
He loves meat and will eat any type of meat. He doesn't love other foods very much though. The only fruit he will eat right now is a banana and it is really hard to get him to eat veggies. He doesn't really like bread either! He has a huge sweet tooth and gets mad if someone is eating something like candy or ice cream and doesn't share with him.
He thinks it is so funny to put things in my mouth. He always walks over to me with a grin on his face and tries to stick a ball or a toy or a binky in my mouth. He likes to try to feed me and other people too.
He loves to give me hugs and kisses, but won't usually give them to anyone else. He will give other people a "high-five" or a "bones" though. He says cheese and gives a big grin whenever he sees a camera. He gets really excited to go to the grocery store so that he can ride in the car cart.
What a sweet little boy. I am so grateful he is in our family. I love when he randomly gives me a hug or a kiss. I love that he adores his sister and his daddy. Our lives would not be complete without him.
